Application of Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is intended to help you understand how Grover Musical Products, Inc. (“Grover”), collects, uses and safeguards the personal and other information you provide through Grover’s website and mobile application in connection with your inquiry regarding a Grover product or service or the purchase of a Grover product or service. Grover’s products and services will be referred to herein as “Grover Product” or “Grover Products”. It does not apply to the use or disclosure of personal and other information that is collected or obtained by Grover through other means.
Your Account
Your Responsibilities. To protect your account from unauthorized activity, you should keep your password confidential and restrict access to your computer and any mobile devices through which your account may be accessed. You are responsible for all activity on or through your account. Grover will not be liable for damages or loss arising from your failure to maintain the confidentiality of your password or to adequately restrict access to your account. You represent and warrant that all information that you provide in connection with your account is and shall be accurate, truthful, current and complete. Grover reserves the right to deny, deactivate or terminate your account at Grover’s discretion.
Breach of Security. You accept all risk that your account may be accessed without your permission. If you discover or suspect that the security of your account has been breached, it is your obligation to immediately inform Grover of the nature of the suspected breach.
Information Grover Collects and Uses
Your Personal Information. When you place an order for a Grover Product or make an inquiry regarding a Grover Product, Grover needs to know your name, email and mailing addresses, and your billing information so that Grover can fill, confirm and ship your order, notify you of your order status and process your payment or respond to your Grover Product inquiry. Grover may also request some of this same information from you when you ask a question or make a comment through Grover’s website or mobile application in order for Grover to respond appropriately. For administration purposes, Grover’s website or mobile application may collect your IP address or domain name, referring web page, browser type, mobile device type, device operating system, device settings, and non-personal information about the way you use your device or this site (such as the length of time spent or the pages accessed while visiting this site). Grover may use third-party website analytics tools and embedded tracking codes that collect information about visitor traffic on Grover’s website and mobile application to collect information about you.
Disclosure of Information to Third Parties. Grover does not rent or sell to others any information about Grover’s customers. Grover does not grant permission to third parties to collect information regarding the online activities of Grover’s website or mobile application users over time and across different websites. However, Grover may provide your personal information to third parties who provide services on Grover’s behalf, such as the companies engaged to deliver your order and process your payment. Grover also reserves the right to disclose without notice to you any information in Grover’s possession if Grover believes that Grover is required to do so by law, to protect or defend Grover’s rights or property, or to respond to an emergency.
Use By Children. Grover’s website and mobile application are not intended for use by children and Grover does not intend to collect personal information from children. Children are directed to not use Grover’s website and mobile application.
Mobile User Application Permissions. When you use Grover’s mobile application, you grant to Grover certain permissions with respect to your device to allow Grover to appropriately respond to your order or inquiry regarding Grover Products. Most mobile devices provide you with information about these permissions.
Mobile User Location. Grover’s mobile application may also collect information about the location of your mobile device, if you grant this permission.
Access and Correction. The file containing your personal information will be held at Grover’s offices or on Grover’s servers or those of Grover’s service providers, and employees who require it for the purposes of their duties will have access to this file. You may obtain a copy of certain personal information Grover maintains about you and update or correct inaccuracies in that information using the features of your account. If you wish to update or delete other personal information, you can contact us by email at [email protected], and Grover will endeavor to correct, update or remove the personal information you give us.
Security of Your Information
Grover’s Responsibility. The security of your information is important to Grover. While Grover endeavors to use reasonable efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of your information, the Internet and other e-commerce channels are not totally secure. Due to the possibility of transmission errors, hacking or other unauthorized third-party activities, Grover cannot guarantee that personal data transmitted to our website and mobile application will remain secure. If Grover becomes aware of a security breach involving any such data, Grover will make all legally required disclosures consistent with Grover’s ability to determine the scope of the breach, Grover’s need to restore the integrity of the system and the needs of law enforcement.
Credit Card Information. Whenever Grover transmits your credit card information over the Internet, Grover uses industry standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption for all pages containing private information pertaining to your shipments. Your full credit card number is never displayed when you use Grover’s website or mobile application. When you use a saved credit card, Grover will only include the last four digits of the credit card number on the order page so that you can tell which credit card you used.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your computer or mobile device. Cookies are commonly used to retain and accelerate the transfer of information for online services.
Use of Cookies by Grover. When you use Grover’s website or mobile application, Grover can identify you in later visits by looking for a cookie on your device.
Verifying Your Identity Without Cookies. If you use Grover’s website or mobile application from a device that does not have your cookie or from which you have deleted your cookie, you can retrieve your personal information from Grover by providing your email address or user name. If you are coming from a different network than you have used in the past, Grover’s software/programs will prompt you for your password so that Grover can verify your identity.
“Do Not Track” Signals
Grover’s website and mobile application are not configured to respond and do not respond to “do not track” signals.
Disclaimers Relating to Privacy Laws Outside the United States
Grover’s website and mobile application are operated by Grover from our offices in the United States. Information that you submit to Grover from outside the United States through Grover’s website and mobile application will be transmitted to the United States (including to Grover’s service providers located in the United States). Foreign countries may have privacy laws that differ in scope than privacy laws in the United States. Grover makes no representation that Grover’s website or mobile application is appropriate or available for use in locations outside the United States and makes no representation as to the privacy or protection of information submitted to Grover from outside the United States through Grover’s website or mobile application.
Changes in Privacy Policy
Grover reserves the right to change the Privacy Policy at any time by providing notice to you. Grover will notify you of changes to the Privacy Policy by one or more of the following: (i) providing you with an electronic notification through Grover’s website or mobile application or via email or other means of electronic communication of the Privacy Policy change(s), or (ii) making a revision to the Privacy Policy and changing the Terms and Conditions Version Date appearing below. By clicking the “I agree” button in connection with an electronic notification or electronic communication of a Privacy Policy change, by using either Grover’s website or mobile application to order a Grover Product or make an inquiry regarding a Grover Product after the new version date, you signify your acceptance of the Privacy Policy change(s) and the revised Privacy Policy.
