A specially engineered, adjustable worm gear and die-cast plate maintain the center lines of the gear and worm to insure correct alignment for the finest tuning possible. Vintage style “worm under gear” configuration. The Vintage style tuners have a reversed “worm under” arrangement (worm gear below the post gear) for vintage or retro instruments using that configuration.
